I build websites to be static where they can be, dynamic where they need to be, and fast everywhere. I skip the bloated page builders and the plugin soup and write clean code that loads quickly and ranks well.
Sound familiar?
The site takes six seconds to load and nobody knows why. You can’t change your own phone number without emailing someone and waiting three days. Google can’t seem to find you, but it finds your competitors fine. Or the quiet one: you’ve been paying an agency monthly for years, and you’re not sure what you’d keep if you stopped.
Those are the four problems that bring people to me, and every one of them is fixable. The last one is fixed by structure, not code.
What you get
- Speed you can measure. Sub-two-second loads on real phones, not just in a demo. This site scores 100/100/100/100 on Google’s Lighthouse audit, and I build client sites to the same standard because speed is rankings and revenue, not vanity.
- SEO plumbing done properly. Metadata, structured data, sitemaps, clean URLs. Not a “package”; just how the site is built.
- Content you can edit yourself. A CMS your team will use, and room to grow into service pages, case studies, and a blog when you’re ready.
- Hosting set up right. SSL, global CDN, and accounts in your name.
How it works
A typical build runs three to six weeks. Billing is by milestone, with no retainers. You pay as agreed stages of the real site are delivered, and ongoing care afterwards is optional, cancellable, and never a condition of keeping your own website. Whether you need a custom build at all is a fair question. I wrote up my answer, including the cases where a site builder is the right call.
Real work
- Shop RV Parts: a WooCommerce store carrying a 10,000+ SKU catalogue at 95+ Lighthouse performance.
- DIY Flavours: a full Magento / Hyvä e-commerce rebuild for an established retailer.
- FMFY Wellness: a WooCommerce site for a growing wellness brand.
You own the site
Domain, hosting, code, content: yours, in your accounts, from the start. If we part ways, you lose nothing but me. If a company you’re comparing me with can’t clearly answer “what do I keep if I stop paying?”, that’s your answer about them.
I’m based in British Columbia and build for businesses across Canada.
Common questions
What does a site cost? It ranges more than any other service I offer, because “website” covers everything from a DIY builder to a full custom production. The full breakdown is on the blog. Tell me the job the site has to do and I’ll tell you which tier it needs.
Can you fix our existing site instead of rebuilding? Often, yes, especially for performance problems. I’ll tell you which is cheaper before you commit to either.
Will we be able to update it ourselves? Yes. If you need me for a phone number change, I’ve failed.
Do you do e-commerce? Yes. See the work above. WooCommerce and Magento included; I’m not precious about stacks when the fit is right.
